The Florida Health Care Association and LeadingAge Florida will host a Nursing Center Emergency Preparedness Summit in Tallahassee on Friday, September 22. The Summit, which welcomes leaders from the long term care profession, will include experts who will discuss Florida’s nursing centers and the unique level of care required for residents during natural disasters. In addition, Summit speakers will also address recently proposed legislation and rules related to equipping nursing centers with generators, including technical issues, implementation, regulatory requirements and funding sources.
